Our Classes
We recommend that all owners spend 10-15 minutes a day training with their dogs. Each day, the dog will take a step closer to the level of obedience you wish to achieve. The club promotes positive reinforcement training at all levels.

Puppy Classes
Sessions for your puppy to learn good dog social skills.
Puppy Socialisation
Cost: £25
Length of Course: 5 weeks
Requirements:
- Less than 20 weeks old
Included in the Course:
- Weekly half-hour sessions
- Ample time for questions and answers with the instructors
Training:
- Introduction to training on-lead
- Off-lead playtime with other puppies
- A new topic is discussed every week, relevant to bringing up your puppy

Lifeskills Class
Sessions to work on your dog’s general behaviour and learn basic commands and skills.
Lifeskills class
Cost: £25
Length of Course: 5 weeks
Requirements:
- Over 20 weeks old
Included in the Course:
The course will be held over 5 weeks, with a group of 6 dogs. The aim is for the class to be responsive to the needs of those participating but will work on areas such as:
- improving your bond with your dog and teaching it to focus on you
- walking on a lead
- sit, down and stay
- recall
- manners (meeting people and other dogs)
- managing excitability
Suitability:
The course is suitable for those who want to work on their dog’s general behaviour and learn basic commands and skills:
- those with dogs who may not yet be ready to start our formal obedience classes (for example younger or excitable dogs)
- those who want to learn how to get the best out of their dog but are not interested in following a formal obedience programme
Novice Dog Training
Basic dog training for dogs aged six months plus, with our qualified dog handlers.
Novice Level
Cost: £45
Length of Course: 12 weeks
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months old, or Completed Puppy Socialisation, or Life Skills
Included in the Course:
- Weekly half-hour practical sessions
- Weekly half-hour online theory sessions
- Formal obedience training - entry level
Training:
- All work completed on-lead
- Basic obedience
- Heelwork
- Sit/down stay
- Recall
- Responsible Dog Ownership Course (theory)

- Practical Test (75% to pass)

Dog Training
After you've passed the novice dog training, you are welcome to join our more advanced classes.
Beginner Level
Cost: £60
Length of Course: 16 weeks

- Passed Novice Level

- Weekly 35 minute practical sessions
Training:
- Practising off-lead
- Off-lead sit/down stays
- Recalls
- Formal obedience training
- Progression from work done at Novice Level
End of Course Assessments (required to progress training levels):
- Practical Test
Intermediate Level
Cost: £60
Length of Course: Varies
Requirements:
- Passed Beginner Level
Included in the Course:
- Weekly 40 minute practical sessions
Training:
- Working off-lead
- Formal obedience training
- More complex commands and exercises

- Practical test, completed when instructors deem ready
Advanced Level

- Passed Intermediate Level
